Before You Begin

This concern lives in all of us. The idea that you might not be photogenic, that the camera won't be kind, that you'll see something in those photographs that confirms every harsh thing you've ever thought about yourself.
In six years and over 400 people, that moment has come up in the room. It has never had the last word. It won't with you either.
Part of what this experience is for is working through exactly that: gently, and together. Not to dismiss what you feel, but to shift the lens you've been looking through. You'll be guided every step of the way, and nothing moves faster than you're ready for.

Longer than you might expect, and deliberately so.
A Studio experience typically runs 2 to 3 hours followed by an hour to decompress over a coffee nearby, and then your same-day reveal back at the studio. Set aside a half-day and give yourself the full experience.
An Adventure experience runs 3 to 4 hours on location, depending on where we're shooting and how far we're walking. Your photographs are delivered online within three weeks of your shoot.
Both of these Experiences aren’t just a quick appointment, instead we take the time here.

When your shoot is finished, you don't go home and wait.
You head out for an hour: get a coffee, let it settle, breathe. Then you come back, and we go through your photographs together while you're still in that feeling. Before the old voice has time to come back in.
Everyone who has done this says the same thing: seeing yourself on the same day is completely different to waiting. The same-day reveal is included in all Studio experiences. Adventure experiences conclude with an online reveal delivered within three weeks.

The studio is at 117 Brook Street, Bridgeton, Glasgow, G40 3AP, easily reachable by public transport and car. The building has full disabled access including an elevator and accessible bathrooms, and there is 24/7 security on site.

Your photographs and your experience are completely confidential. Many people choose to share their photographs to inspire others, and that is always wonderful, but it is entirely your decision, made only after you have seen your photographs and feel completely comfortable.
If you would like your photographs used for any other purpose, just ask and we can discuss it together.

Absolutely not, on any count.
Every body is welcome here: every shape, every size, every age. So far the honour has been photographing people from 21 to 84 years old. There is no age at which you stop deserving to be seen and celebrated.
The only requirement is that you are 18 or over.

Scotland does what Scotland does!
In the days running up to your session we'll keep a close eye on the forecast together. If conditions are turning against us, we'll talk through the options: rescheduling, an alternative location, or moving to the studio if that works for you. Any changes due to weather are always at no extra charge.
