Hey hello, I’m Marieke - I know what it's like to not recognise yourself in the mirror. After overcoming my own struggles with an eating disorder, I discovered a deep passion for breaking free from the toxic beauty standards that live in all our minds.
Boudoir photography has always been a powerful tool for me to reconnect with myself. Not because the photographs were beautiful, but because they allowed me to reflect on the parts of myself that I used to struggle with so badly.
For six years, I've been creating that same shift for others: a private space where you are guided, celebrated, and shown, often for the very first time, exactly how remarkable you already are.
Over 400 people have walked through that studio door. Every single one arrived nervous. Every single one left differently.
I believe that gender is a spectrum. Marieke Captures is inclusive of plurality of femme voices including trans, queer and non-binary people.
The most important moment isn't the photoshoot.
It's two to three weeks later: when we sit down together, and your photographs appear on screen for the very first time.
There's always a beat of silence. And then, almost always, tears and so much joy.
Not because of how you look. Because of how it feels to finally see yourself clearly.
The day of the experience is all about how you feel. During the Reveal, that is where you will learn the art of self-admiration.

Your photographs remain completely private unless you give explicit permission to share specific photographs.

The experience is primarily designed for women and people who feel comfortable within a women-centred space. Everyone is welcome as long as they respect the intention of the experience.

Your private online reveal session takes place approximately two to three weeks after your session.
