Wedding Boudoir Photography

The wedding gave you a reason. But this experience is for you.

A private wedding boudoir experience in Glasgow, for anyone who wants to feel extraordinary before the biggest day of their life

Your wedding is approaching. Somewhere in the middle of all the planning, the fittings, the decisions, and the noise: this is a day that belongs entirely to you.

A pre-wedding boudoir photography experience isn't a rehearsal for the big day. It isn't a posing practice or a hair and makeup trial run.

It is a day for yourself where none of the wedding pressure is required. Where you are not a soon-to-be-wed with a checklist: you are just yourself, in your body, being seen.

The photographs can become a gift. Some give them to their partner on the morning of the wedding. Some keep them entirely for themselves. Both are the right choice.

And years from now, long after the flowers have gone and the wedding outfit is in a box, these are the photographs you will still reach for.

‘‘A wedding gift for my husband, little did I know it would also be a gift for me’’

‘‘I went with Marieke Captures to do a boudoir photo shoot as a wedding gift for my husband. Little did I know it would also be a gift for me. I found a new love and confidence for myself that I had lost after having my baby; my whole experience was amazing and so personal. I am overjoyed with the results and would highly recommend to anyone thinking about doing a boudoir shoot, if not for someone else, then do it for you.’ - Gemma

Before you celebrate your love, celebrate yourself

People arrive at this experience carrying nerves and excitement. They leave having embraced their bodies in a way they didn't expect.

That feeling walks down the aisle with you.

The Full Experience, Step by Step

01 The Consultation

Every experience begins with a private video consultation.

You'll talk about what brought you here, what you're hoping to feel, and what worries you most. Every question gets an honest answer, and by the time you arrive at the studio, nothing feels unknown.

02. The Experience

You arrive. There's music. There are warm drinks. There is no rush.

Before a single photograph is taken, we take the time to make sure you feel genuinely settled: not just politely comfortable, but actually at ease. Throughout the experience, you are guided through every movement, every expression. You don't need to know what to do with your hands. You don't need modelling experience, or confidence, or a body you've made peace with yet. All you have to do is show up.

03 Same Day Reveal

When your shoot is finished, you don't go home and wait.

You head out for an hour: a local café, a moment to breathe, a chance to let it all settle. Then you come back.

We sit together and go through your photographs while everything is still fresh and you are feeling amazing.

Looking back at yourself can be confronting. That's exactly why we do this together. If any loud voices show up, the ones that want to find fault before you've even had a chance to feel anything, I'll be right there. We face them together, and more often than not, the photographs say it louder than those voices ever could.

Everyone who has done this says the same thing: seeing yourself on the same day is completely different from waiting. Because waiting gives the old voice time to come back. The same-day reveal closes that window entirely.

04. Delivery & Keepsakes

Your hand-edited photographs arrive in a private online gallery within two weeks of your experience, ready to download and keep. If you'd like your photographs to exist as something you can hold, printed artwork and albums are available to add. We'll talk through what feels right for where you are.

Everything else is taken care of. All you have to do is show up.

The things you might be wondering.

  • As early as you can! especially if you want printed products ready to gift on your big day. Ideally three to six months before your wedding date gives the most flexibility for scheduling, editing, and delivery. That said, if your wedding is sooner, get in touch: it's always worth asking.

  • Absolutely! Many people opt to plan their wedding hair/make up trial on the same day as their boudoir experience. However, this is not a requirement whatsoever.

  • Then they are entirely yours! There is no expectation that these photographs are a gift. Many people book a wedding boudoir session purely for themselves, as a private act of self-celebration before a significant day, and never share the photographs with anyone. Both are completely valid.

  • Absolutely. The studio wardrobe includes veils and bridal accessories, and you are welcome to bring anything personal that you'd like to incorporate. Something meaningful: a piece of jewellery, a family heirloom, your partner's shirt , often makes the most significant photographs.

  • With the Studio Experience, you will see your photographs on the very same day during the Reveal. With the Adventure Experience, your online Reveal will be scheduled within 3 weeks of your date.

  • Yes, absolutely. As a proud member of the community myself, everyone is welcome in front of my lens. Marieke Captures is, and always will be, a safe and empowering space for all identities. Whether you’re trans, non-binary, queer, femme, or anywhere in between
