What to Wear for a Boudoir Session

Short answer: whatever makes you feel like you!

Longer answer, because I know that's not always helpful when you're standing in front of your wardrobe at 11pm, here's what actually works.

The Quick List

• A matching lingerie set : lace, sheer, leather, whatever pulls you in, there are so many beautiful options.

• A silk or satin robe : effortless movement, built-in elegance (the client wardrobe has got you here as well)

• An oversized jumper with bare legs : if you would like a soft, cosy, vibe

• A bodysuit : sculpted, supportive, a little more coverage

• A corset : structured and bold if you want drama

• Your partner's shirt : classic, and very romantic

• Body jewellery : layered over skin, no fabric required

• Something personal : a piece of jewellery, an old tee, anything with meaning

• Just the sheets : soft, simple, and bold

• Nothing at all : some of the most powerful photographs I've taken involve no outfit whatsoever

You Don't Need to Own Any of This Already

If lingerie shopping feels like its own project on top of an already big decision, the client wardrobe is there for exactly that reason: a curated collection of robes, sets, and accessories you're welcome to use on the day.
