Marieke is so kind and welcoming. Her studio was so lovely and welcoming, she had tea/coffee and snacks and we took plenty of breaks to enjoy them!

‘‘I was honoured to be able to have a shoot with Marieke and I can easily say it was one of the best experiences I've ever had in my life.
From the very start of the process to even today, Marieke checked in with me and was always available to talk to if I was feeling anxious or unsure of anything.
Having an introductory call was such a perfect way to break the ice, get to know each other more, and get an in depth walk through of how the shoot will go. Marieke is incredible for always checking for boundaries and respects them 10000%
The actual shoot itself was a dream come true, I mean you really are made to feel like a goddess for 2 hours and it's truly a magical experience! Marieke made me feel so at ease, I felt safe and supported throughout. She also talked through every pose and kept me right so you're always looking your best but most importantly FEELING your best.
Once the gallery was ready we had a call together so we could look at each photo and discuss them. This was so amazing, Marieke would tell me with each picture what she loves about them which really helped boost my confidence, so much so that I was completely happy with every photo and want them all to be shared which I've never felt before!
All I can say is if you have any feeling that you might want to do this, DO IT! I cannot thank Marieke enough for everything, I will cherish this experience forever.’’

“I booked a boudoir shoot with Marieke for part of my 50th birthday celebrations. After a few years of feeling less confident about my body I wanted to do something that would kick me out of that thinking and celebrate myself as I am. And WOW did this shoot do that and more!
Before the shoot: Marieke checked in with me a few times leading up to the shoot which was great as the nerves were trying to overcome the excitement. She gave loads of encouragement and advice, always with really clear communication.
During the shoot: this really felt like spending a fun afternoon with an old friend. There was plenty of chat and giggles along with a lot of positive reinforcement and advice for poses. Marieke made me so comfortable the whole time that going from fully clothed to buck naked in front of a camera felt natural.
After the shoot: I was on a high for days after the shoot and didn’t have long to wait to see the glorious results. I absolutely love 99% of the pictures that Marieke chose and the 1% I don’t like is me being critical of my body rather than the images themselves. Marieke really has an eye for creating great images and capturing people looking so at peace with themselves.
Overall I had a wonderful life-affirming experience and have seen my body in a refreshing new light. I’m already thinking about booking another session!”

“Today I received an important gift.
In my life, I always wanted to see my body as a piece of art. I always wanted to evaluate it for what it is, in its perfection and beauty. There are some days where we (and I), see ourselves as too fat or too skinny, days where we hate our dry skin or scars and we hardly wish to be in somebody else's figure. But then, jumping into reality, how big are those negative thoughts, comparing them with the reality? Our body is marvellous, it's real, tangible and it represents our life. It deserves to be supported by kindness.
