What to Wear for Your Boudoir Session

You are ready to embark on the great experience of a boudoir photoshoot; you feel ready and excited for it, but… what to wear?! This blog should be able to help you out no matter if this is your first boudoir photoshoot or your 5th.

Wear something that feels Amazing

This tip feels rather obvious, but it's very much the truth! When it comes down to choosing what to wear, make sure it is something that makes you feel amazing and that fits just the way you like it. There is nothing worse than wearing an outfit that doesn’t feel right, or that constantly needs to be readjusted. I want you to feel great, no matter what you wear. So pick something that you know of that will make you feel amazing!

For this reason, I would also discourage you from going shopping the day before your session, you might just purchase something that doesn’t feel great after all. Make sure you’ve been able to have the outfit on a few times at the minimum, to really be sure that it makes you feel like you can shine.

Jumper, White t-shirt, Jeans…

You might be reading the title and think ‘’are you sure I’m reading a Boudoir blog?’’ and the answer is ‘’Yes!’’. I can never say it loud enough; Boudoir can be whatever you want it to be. Yes, it can be your most beautiful lingerie set, but any item that makes you feel fabulous can bring that Boudoir vibe. A nice jumper is wonderful to wear over your shoulders, or to show a little cheeky bootie, a long white shirt can give you that effortless look, while some amazing fitting jeans can look very spicy! The options are endless! So don’t forget about ‘’normal’’ clothes, if this is what makes you feel great!

Bra and Panty set

A classic and easy go-to for a Boudoir photoshoot; a well-fitted bra and panty set can beautifully accentuate your figure. Not sure what colour to go for? Consider colours that compliment your skin tone and most importantly… something that makes you feel confident! The set can be made from lace, all the straps, satin, completely see-through; the list continues. Just make sure that you wear the appropriate size and you are golden.

Bodysuits
Bodysuits are lovely and versatile, giving you a bit more coverage while still having that sexy light turned all the way on! Bodysuits come in various styles; lacy, and modern, but also with and without strategically placed cutouts.

Accessories

Don’t forget about your favourite accessories. This can be an amazing necklace, or gorgeous earrings, but also think of a pair of stockings, fishnets, your favourite high heels, or any other accessories that you enjoy wearing. Once again, if there is an item that makes you feel like you and like the fabulous creature that you are; bring it along!

Sheet

Who would have thought that a simple piece of long fabric would be able to offer so many options? Cause it really does! There are beautiful kinds of fabrics for you available in the client wardrobe that are wonderful to drape around your lovely self. This is a great way to get a bit more of an artsy vibe to your photographs, while you’re also able to cover, and uncover, all at the same time.

Your favourite suit; your Birthday Suit!

And how about… nothing at all! There is nothing more empowering than posing in your very own skin. Going completely like yourself during your boudoir photoshoot can feel really liberating while also giving a ‘’ I really just did that!’’ feeling. There is of course not a single ounce of pressure to do this, it is entirely up to you to see if this is something you feel ready for.

And if all else fails… The Client Wardrobe has got your back

In Case of Doubt

If you think you know what you would like to bring, but you are not entirely sure; you can always message me with the options and I’m happy to look at the options with you. We will get there!

Conclusion

In the end, the most important thing is to wear something that makes you feel confident, amazing, wonderful, and beautiful. No matter what you decide to wear; I am here to celebrate your amazing self and it is going to be absolutely fantastic.
